The most anticipated culinary event since the reopening of French Laundry
Shalimar, the best Indian (Pakistani) restaurant in the Bay Area, has been promising for years to open a branch in Sunnyvale (the other three branches are in San Francisco and Fremont). We were at Shalimar Fremont tonight and they had a banner claiming that Shalimar Sunnyvale is finally open:
Address: 1146 El Camino Real
Phone: 408.530.0300
Try the Chicken Tikka Breast.

I understand that location used to be a Chinese buffet, then an Indian Chinese place, and now it's an Indian (Pakistani) place.
I recommend the Chicken Karahi and the Chicken Biryani. Don't go during the lunch rush -- it's a madhouse.
