More on smart drugs
The LA Times has an interesting article about the current state of cognitive enhancers. There are already three drugs on the market that have been shown to improve cognitive performance: modafinil (Provigil), methylphenidate (Ritalin), and donepezil (Aricept). Modafinil and methylphenidate improve concentration and donepezil seems to improve general function, and there's better stuff in the pipeline.
