Most of the sports I've been involved in have their benchmarks,
the minimum performance you need in order to be credible.
Typically, these benchmarks are somewhat arbitrary, chosen
mostly for being round numbers. Here are the ones I know
about:
| Sport | Benchmark |
| Running | 40 minute 10K |
| Cycling | 1 hour 40K |
| Weighlifting | Bench your own weight |
Do readers know the benchmarks for other sports?

Rugby: concussion in the first half, but play in the second half
Bowling: Score at least 5x your beer gut circumference measured in inches (ie 40" gut, score 200+)
Juggling: Five balls. A run of 50 is probably about what qualifies one to be a 'real' five ball juggler, although some might say that you need to be able to do it consistently rather than just once.
